Assam Fish Curry



Ingredients
1 medium size black pomfret
5 ladies fingers ( cut into small pieces )
1 brinjal ( cut into big pieces )
1 tomato ( cut into 6 pieces )
2 stalk of lemon grass ( just the top white section )
1 tbsp tamarind paste ( dissolve in 100 ml water for assam juice )
1 tbsp black vinegar
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp light soya sauce
3 tbsp curry powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 green chili ( cut into slices )
1 red chilli ( cut into slices )
1 tsp chilli powder ( optional )

Ingredients to be pounded
2" lengkuas
1" turmeric
5 chilli
8 shallots




Preparation
1. Boil 500 ml water in saucepan. Put in all the ingredients ( except the fish ) .
2. Cover to cook for 15 minutes.





3. Put in the fish to cook for 1o minutes. Turn the fish and cook for further 5 minutes.
4. Taste to see if you would like to add the chilli powder to make it more spicy.
5. Put in the green and red chilli. Dish out to serve.
